Commissioned Artwork

Commissioned Artwork

Commissioning a piece of artwork is now just a message or call away. Furthermore, they make beautiful gifts!

Pricing for an original catering to specific conditions starts at 200$, varying between 2$ to 3$ per square inch based on the medium and complexity of the subject. In return, you will receive museum-quality art to be treasured permanently!

Prior deposits are not a prerequisite for locking in pieces under 300$. However, some patience is required as my workload dictates the timeline- especially during the holiday season. That being said, I do my absolute best to work with special circumstances - do not hesitate to ask.

Sketches

Sketches

Sketching to me as an artist is exercise to an athlete. Over the years, it has helped me develop my observation and drawing skills. I carry my journals and postcards wherever I travel. These enable me to remain inspired and create memories from various locations. I'm sharing below a few sneak peeks into the aforementioned diaries.

Watercolor

Watercolor

Collection of paintings created using transparent as well as opaque watercolors. Watercolor, being a quick medium, is my go-to medium that helps to express and communicate how I feel on a day to day basis. The struggles I encounter keep my work direct and honest. I'm inspired by the play of light, shadow and color, along with expressive brush strokes which help me capture the scene I'd like to portray in my works.

Collages/Paperpaintings

Collages/Paperpaintings

"Paperpaintings" as I call them, are collages made by ripping and sticking collected or painted papers. Even a tiny dot on a bird's eye is a shredded bit of paper delicately torn with hand. I use the layering technique to create depth. These are painted on museum-quality birchwood panels/boards or Ampersand Panels. The end result is a richly-textured piece of artwork with exquisite tactile quality.

Acrylics & Oils

Acrylics & Oils

My technique for acrylics and oils is highly influenced by my fascination with working wet on wet. I presume that explains my passion for watercolor. Being a lover of texture, I paint using the alla prima technique- allowing lower layers of wet pigment to seep through the top layers of color. This creates a mesmerizing hide and seek effect, in turn forming jewel-like windows to see through.
